Being different is something that Nordic-Belgian jazz band LASSEN does instinctively and organically. They released their Jazzland debut in 2018, Eventyrer, followed up in 2019 with "Remix-Eventyrer" which saw fabulous new interpretations from the likes of Bendik Baksaas, Kim Dürbeck and Anja Lauvdal. 2019 isn't done yet though, for now they release a collaboration with Norwegian operatic singer Henriette Stabell Johnson: "Spazi Siderali" – a rebuild of LASSEN's "Det er dette som er meningen", complete with recorder, EWI (that's "Electronic Wind Instrument", noob) and now Italian opera, giving LASSEN the feeling that all that was missing has now been restored. It is intimate, beautiful and tumultuous, and careers towards madness by the end. But as they say in LASSEN's social circles, "It's boring to be ordinary!" Enjoy!
